My Label is the most exciting thing to happen to my sewing in a long time. I will recommend it to anyone interested in garment construction because users can get a fit quickly and relatively easily. I know how discouraging it is to make garments from commercial patterns or other software and be disappointed time and again.

My Label is very user friendly.

The end result for My label is amazing . The seam allowances are consistent. The paper patterns go together well because of the bold cross marks on each paper. That makes it easy to match them. Once you have the pattern together and cut out the garment, the pieces go together flawlessly. Facings and collars have consistently fit within the area they are intended for and sleeves go in beautifully.

There is very little adjusting that needs to be done to the My Label patterns to have exactly the right fit. Again, it was not unusual for me to make several garments from one pattern in other pattern making software before I got the correct fit. With My Label garments usually one minor adjustment does it. Some garments don't need any adjustment at all.

It has been a real pleasure testing the garments because they are so close to a good fit right from the printer and only minor adjustments are needed for a final fit. I would have to say that most of the changes I have made have been for style to complement my body shape and not for fit. For the pants in particular, I would never wear pants that ride below my natural front waistline. The adjustments are very simple. I've made several pair of shorts from the elastic waist pants (my favorite) as well as several pair of full length pants from both the flair pants and the pleated pants. All fit very well and many are hanging in my closet to ready to wear on the street--although they were test garments.

Measuring for My Label was easy and accurate.

The measurements are input in a logical manner. I didn't have a problem learning My Label Software..

The fit is wonderful!! I've never had patterns fit the way My Label does right off the press. I've made so many test garments with other software it's ridiculous. If I were still using it, I would still be making test garments because I can't get a good fit. I've only had to make minor adjustments to the patterns, mainly for ease. They are tight and don't allow for much wear ease. I've been using good fabric for a change because I know the garment will fit.

The seam allowances are accurate and the pieces match up. It's so nice to have the facings and collars fit and the notches match. Not so with DS. I ruined several garments with other software because the pieces didn't match and I didn't have enough fabric for more.
